Movie: Exhuma (2024)

Thoughts: the shaman ritual scene in the mountain used a real rite + the crew had actual shamans onsite! this movie, upon first watch, sent shivers down my spine. i was obsessed. like i wish this was split into two movies !!!!!! i need more !!

Movie: Sister Death (2023)
Description: Spain, 1949. Narcisa, a novice, arrives at an old convent, converted into a girls’ school, to work as a teacher.
Thoughts: loved this movie, will not watch it again. it's really triggering and brought up so many visceral emotions in me...

Movie: The Medium (2021)
Description: A horrifying story of a shaman’s inheritance in the Isan region of Thailand. But the goddess that appears to have taken possession of a family member turns out not be as benevolent as it first appears.
Thoughts: graphic, extremely graphic, super visceral... had to watch it a few times and attempt finishing it a few times.

Movie: Ghostwatch (1992)

Thoughts: ok if i was a youth in the 1992 and i saw this on public access british programming, i would also think it was real and i would have nightmares for years.

Movie: Barbie Princess and the Pauper (2004)

Movie: Girl, Interrupted (1999)

Movie: Crimson Peak (2015) -- Guillermo del Toro

Thoughts: FUCK literally (to me) one of the best things ever. beautiful, atmospheric, kind of insane... gives me all i want from gothic romances/dark fantasies. i kinda wanna live in this movie tbh.
